Feelin' The Blues

After many, many gloomy days here in the D.C. area, the sun has finally come out to play for a bit! I just purchased my first pair of "nice" jeans from Madewell and I finally understand why people spend more on their jeans. I have never had jeans fit this well on me, and the great thing about Madewell is that they do free hemming on their jeans if they are too long for you. I have always had a lot of trouble trying to find a pair of white jeans that fit me correctly and I finally did. These are perfect for the Summer and I'm so excited to finally bring them out.

I'm sure that many of you have heard of the online clothing store called Shein. They are known for their extremely affordable trendy clothes, shoes, and accessories. I was very skeptical at first to try out this store since the prices are so low. But, I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised with the quality of their clothing as well as the shipping time. I purchased both my top as well as my shoes from Shein and I love them! Gingham has been a very huge trend lately and I absolutely loved how the gingham patterned looked in a blue color.

To accessorize this look, I decided to wear these fun tassel earrings from Anthropologie. Blue is my favorite color and it is the perfect color for the Spring and Summer months. As for my bag and shoes, I went for a white crossbody to go with the jeans and these gold pumps to make the look a bit more dramatic. I love this look for summer and I do think you all should definitely check out Shein to see what fun pieces they have to offer!

Back to The 50's

I have always been one to love classic and vintage dresses. There is something about swing dresses and button down dresses that get me every time. I do find that finding vintage dresses can be a bit hard sometimes because many of them run very big. However, some people have made it easier to find handpicked vintage dresses for all sizes. One of them includes a local boutique in Los Angeles called the Golden Age Vintage. This shop also has an online store which I have linked down below! They sell vintage items including clothing, jewelry, and other accessories. They even sell vintage Chanel and other designers! Since I didn't want the dress to look too vintage, I added some trendier accessories. This straw hat from Target actually had a black bow on it, however I DIY'd it and placed a white bow on top to match my outfit a bit better. For my purse, I decided to use my basket purse since I thought it was the best option to go with this dress. I kept it simple with jewelry and wore my gold watch. As for shoes, I just wore my Zara block heels. I will definitely have more vintage looks to come!

    Warm Watercolors

Fun printed tops are one of my favorite things to wear. They can really dress up an outfit and can either be paired with a simple pair of jeans or a skirt like I have styled it here. The best part about this top is that it was thrifted! I love thrift shopping from time to time becsuse I am able to find some super unique items at a very affordable price. If you look hard enough, you can always find something special. I decided to pair this gorgeous top with my yellow midi skirt from Madewell. This skirt is super comfortable and perfect for those Spring and Summer days. As for shoes, I decided to wear these fun lace up sandals which are surprisingly super comfortable due to the extra support from the block heel. As for accessories, I decided to be a bit more simple and wore this cute necklace from Kendra Scott, my favorite pair of sunglasses, and this boho styled cross body bag.

    Flirty Florals

I feel that every blogger has another blogger that they are inspired by. For me, there are quite a few but one of my favorite bloggers is Rachelle who owns notwithoutmyheels.com! I love Rachelles style in particular because she is also a modest fashion blogger. She also owns her own clothing line which I have featured on my blog before called RAJU Official. I love how she is able to layer pieces in the most creative ways and it really inspires me to think outside the box. For this outfit, I decided to layer on this gorgeous floral dress from H&M. And guys, this dress was only $20! Since the dress has too deep of a v-neck and is sleeveless, I decided to layer this blush pink tee shirt underneath. I loved the layered Spring vibe it gave to the outfit and it's perfect for those modest fashionistas out there!

I have been loving statement earrings and these ones from Francesca's are perfect. They are super lightweight and perfect for summer. I kept it simple with the rest of my jewelry and wore this dainty necklace from Kendra Scott as well as my gold Michael Kors watch.

    Seersucker Style

We all already know my obsession with midi skirts right now. They just keep popping up everywhere and I find myself going back to them time and time again. Seersucker prints are known for their preppy style but I wanted to be able to show how you can make this print look a bit more trendy. Ruffles have been seen everywhere lately and I bought this ruffle tee shirt from Zara. I love how comfortable this shirt is because it is made out of cotton. The thing I love about this particular shirt is that it is wider on the top, but then it gets narrower as the shirt goes down. This makes it perfect to be able to tuck it into jeans and skirts. And this shirt was only about $11!

I found this adorable skirt from H&M. This store can be a bit of a hit or miss for me but they have come out with some super fun pieces this Spring. What I love about this skirt is the button details that go all the way down the skirt. It gives the skirt a bit of a vintage vibe which I have also been loving at the moment. I found the most perfect hat to match with it from target. It has the same seersucker print as the bow and it was about $15! To tie is off, I decided to wear my straw purse one again, as well as these woven sandals. I hope you guys love this look as much as I go!

    A Jumpsuit Jungle

Fun prints are always a must have in my wardrobe. I have never been one to gravitate too much towards plain, dark colors because I love the vibrance of printed fabric. I feel that prints can really lighten up someone's mood and they also make you feel happy. At least for me! Ann Taylor, as well as other retailers have come out with some fun and colorful prints that I have not seen from Ann Taylor before. This store is mainly known for their work attire but with a small twist. I feel that they have really changed it up this season by adding some trendier pieces into their stores, with this amazing jumpsuit being one of them. Jumpsuits are an easy go to if you want to elevate your look but you're not quite sure how to. There are so many kinds of jumpsuits out there including some more elegant ones made with silk and some more casual ones like the one I decided to wear today. I have been loving the jungle print lately and this jumpsuit is all about it!

I decided to pair these fun tassel earrings from Kendra Scott to bring out the white flowers in the jumpsuit. To give the outfit more of a beach vibe, I decided to wear my woven sandals from Steve Madden as well as my fun little basket purse from DOEN. I love how fun and summery this look is and with college finals coming to an end, I am ready for some summer travels to begin!
