Florals in Winter

Okay not gonna lie, I practically froze to death while taking these photos. It has been freezing cold here in the Washington DC area which makes me want to just cuddle up in bed and do absolutely nothing at all. However, I've had some cute Fall/Winter outfits that I've been wanting to wear out and I finally have been able to get the chance to. Winter florals are a huge trend this year and they come in all different color ways. The most popular ones have been florals on a black backdrop to darken the style. I loved this dress in particular because of that reason, plus it's loose and comfy which is perfect for all those holiday dinners you might be going to (and all those yummy gingerbread cookies you'll be eating).

I've been loving the Gucci belt trend, but definitely can't afford one for myself. So I improvised with this gold buckle one from Primark for $5! Since the dress is so loose, I felt I really needed some definition in my waste to not look like a potato (lol). I also thought this cabby hat would be the perfect accessory since it creates a bit of a Parisian vibe.

Feeling Festive

Holiday season is finally here. That means ice skating, hot cocoa, Christmas movies, and of course festive outfits! During Black Friday, I did not do too much shopping but I did head into H&M to see if they had any good deals going on. I was eyeing a particular sweater there that was originally $20. Went I went in, there was a whole rack of them on sale for $5! I ended up purchasing it in two different colors and I decided to style up the green one last night since I was going out for some dinner. My best friend Imaan and I decided to go grab some Thai food (our fave), so I wanted to have a bit of an edgy vibe with this look which is why I went with these simple black skinny jeans and black heeled booties. As for accessories, I wore these chandelier earrings to add some glam to the look, as well as my gold watch. I kept it simple with my Tory Burch cross-body to keep the focus on the sweater.

We actually ended up going to MGM after dinner because there was a bakery there we have been dying to try out which is called Bellagio Patisserie. I decided to try out their Tiramisu while Imaan tried out one of their Macaroons and Black Forest cake. While we were walking around the MGM resort, we saw these huge and gorgeous holiday decorations that we just had to take pictures in front of. I felt that it went perfectly with my look as well as hers.

I can't wait to post more festive looks for you guys throughout this month!
