A Spring Picnic

Not gonna lie, I felt a bit like Julia Engel at this cute picnic my best friend Imaan and I had for Imaan's birthday! We wanted to do something outdoors for her birthday since it was going to be so nice out, and we always wanted to have a picnic. So we decided it would be a fun idea to go out to Home Goods and get some cute picnic items. We found this insanely adorable picnic basket that came with 4 pairs of utensils, 4 plates, and 4 cups all for $40! We also found this cute blanket for about $20. We were having some trouble finding a wooden tray to set our drinks on because no tray we found was under $20 or so. So to substitute that, we found a wooden board with a quote about dogs on it LOL, and we flipped it over to create a tray instead and spent $7 on it! Imaan also purchased this delicious non-alcoholic drink from World Market. It's called the Belvoir Fruit Farms Elderflower and Rose Lemonade and it was sooooo good!

Of course, if we were having a cute picnic we had to make sure to dress the part as well. We both ended up wearing purple tones and it coordinated so well together! The only thing we were worried about was the weather, but it ended up being such a beautiful day out for this picnic. I purchased my maxi dress from a website called Neva Style which sells long sleeve maxi dresses for every occasion. It looks to be mainly catered towards Muslim women, but there are so many gorgeous dresses on there that anyone can wear. This dress ended up being $30 for me! As for Imaan's look, she found this gorgeous pastel purple skirt on sale at H&M and she wore a silk top with it to dress it up. Her hijab also went perfectly with the outfit and she just looked absolutely gorgeous in this look!
