Jumpsuits & Sunflowers

Hey guys! I am so sorry for being so MIA with my blogging recently. I have had so much going on and I just haven't had the time to create new content. However, I am excited about this new post today talking all about how to wear jumpsuits in a more modest way. As most of you know, I work at Kendra Scott but I also decided to pick up a part time job at Anthropologie. Their clothes are perfect if you are looking for a boho casual vibe. I am also lucky enough to get an amazing discount there which is why I am able to afford the clothing. Trust me, it would be way too expensive for me otherwise. I decided to style this fun halterneck jumpsuit in this army green color. Now usually army green is associated with the Fall and Winter seasons but I think it is also a fun piece during the Summer months if styled the right way. Since the jumpsuit itself has a halterneck, I decided to put a white tee shirt underneath. Layering is always key when you are trying to make an outfit look a bit more modest or even a bit more edgy. I find that the white tee shirt also makes the color of the jumpsuit pop a bit more.

I have been on the hunt for the perfect pair of white sneakers. I owned the Adidas originals for quite a while but it was time to pick up something a bit different. I have always loved espadrilles because of how comfy they are and I noticed that many brands have started to combine sneakers with espadrilles. I found this fun pair from DSW and they were on sale for $30! If you all have been reading a few of my previous blog posts, you'll know that many of my recent shoes are from DSW. It is so easy to find what you are looking for there and the prices are so affordable as well.

To accessorize my look, I knew I wanted to wear some loud statement earrings to bring some more color into the outfit. I have had these rainbow tassel earrings for quite some time now and I felt that they looked perfect with the look. As for my purse, I decided to wear my white cross-body bag, and for my watch I went for my vintage gold watch. I wanted to keep these accessories a bit more simple because there is already a lot going on with the earrings and the jumpsuit itself. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the look!

Disclaimer: As I stated previously, I do work at Anthropologie and because of this, I receive a very generous discount on their clothing which is why I am able to afford it.

Mint Julep

Hey guys! First of all, happy first day of Summer! I hope you are all having an amazing Summer break so far.  I have an extra special post for you all today. I received the amazing opportunity to be able to partner with an online boutique called Mint Julep. Their website is They reached out to me and offered a piece for me to style for all of you guys. I received this gorgeous floral printed kimono and what I love most about it is the fabric. It is very light and airy which is perfect for those hot summer days. This kimono can be worn with a dress, skirt, bathing suit, and with a simple shirt and jeans like I styled it here.

For this look, I really wanted the kimono to stand out which is why I went for a plain cream colored top. I wanted to add a bit a flare with my jeans, so I went for these frayed hem jeans which put a little edge to the outfit. For shoes, I went for these block heeled lace up sandals. For accessories, I wanted to keep the look more bohemian so I decided to add this beaded necklace from Kendra Scott which really brought out the turquoise within the kimono. For my purse, I decided to wear my tan crossbody bag.

I had an amazing experience with Mint Julep from the customer service to the quality of the item. I will definitely be purchasing from this brand in the near future because they have so many cute items to offer! Make sure to go sign up at to receive $10 off your first purchase. You will not regret it!

Light & Airy

Kimono season is back and honestly better than ever. I have been loving all of the new styles of kimonos that have recently popped up in stores. They are the perfect layering piece to wear with a shirt, dress, shorts and even a bathing suit. I recently found a ton of new styles of kimonos at Forever 21 all in the $20 range. I've had some hit or miss moments at Forever 21 over the past few years because I felt their style started to change a lot, but they have been killing it this season with all of their fun and trendy pieces.

For today, I decided to style this kimono with a simple shirt and jeans. Since the kimono has burnt orange flower details on it I decided to wear a shirt to bring out those colors more. To make the outfit feel more light, I wore white jeans and these tan sandals. I love this kimono in particular because of the silky texture it has even though it is just a cotton material. Because of this, it really dresses up the outfit. I decided to stay simple with accessories by wearing this little Y necklace, my vintage watch, and this white purse.

    Parisian Style

When I think of Parisian style I think of stripes, skirts, neck scarves, anything classy and sophisticated. We all know that Europe is usually ahead of all the trends since it contains the fashion capitals of the world. I was feeling very inspired by this vibe so I decided to put on this gorgeous striped dress from Zara. Zara is always great at tuning in with the latest trends and seasons. You can always find something related to your style there which is what I love about it the most. I loved that this dress had the vertical stripes because vertical stripes tend to make a person look a bit slimmer and even a bit taller. (I'm only 5'3 so I need all the help I can get LOL). Since it is officially summer, I wanted to still incorporate some fun colors into this look which of course includes pom poms. This cross-body purse is perfect for those Summer days when you are going to be out and about all day but need a bag to put all of your essentials in. It is also a great beach bag if you don't have too much to carry with you.

Simple and minimal sandals are definitely the "it" shoe at the moment and I can definitely see as to why. They are easy to style with anything and they are also super comfortable. I am on my feet a lot at work and I needed to find a shoe that was cute but still comfy and this was the perfect fit. If you are looking for affordable shoes, I would highly recommend DSW. There are a wide array of options to choose from including sandals, sneakers, heels, espadrilles... (the list goes on). And, if you sign up with their email list, they always hand out $10 off coupons!

I hope you all are enjoying your summer and love this Parisian inspired look just as much as I do!
