Yellow Midi

Skirt season is finally here! I love wearing skirts in the Spring and Summer because they are so comfortable and they keep you cool during the warmer months. For the past 2 years or so, tons of brands have been coming out with more modest styled skirts to cater to women with more modest backgrounds. Before then, it would be very hard to find fully covered maxi skirts or dresses and if you did find one, it would be pretty frumpy looking. I'm so glad that more retailers are finally catering to all kinds of people out there with different styles!

If you've been following me for a while, you would know that I purchased this particular midi skirt last year from Madewell and I wore it to death! So I thought why not re-wear this skirt for this Spring season as well? Mustard yellow is still a huge color trend for this season so you can still find a similar style of this skirt at other retailers. I also purchased this top from LOFT last year but I did not get to wear it too often. I was so glad that the yellow in the top matched perfectly with the skirt. Remember ladies, you don't always have to buy new clothes to create new outfits! Just play around with your own closet and you can always come up with something new with pieces that you already own.

Basket bags are still huge this season and I have a very unhealthy obsession with them (I have 6 and still counting LOL). This straw bag from DOEN has been my fave since last year because it just goes with everything. It instantly turns any outfit into a Spring look! This particular bag has been sold out for a while now but this year, many other retailers have come out with very similar options in the same price range (about $30-$40). For accessories, I wore these super comfy mule sandals, my trusty Charming Charlie watch, and these fun layered hoop earrings!
